Adam began his career as a personal trainer in 2008. While pursuing his B.S. in Exercise Science at Truman State University, he had developed an interest in becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach for an athletic team. After spending some time in the field, however, he decided that there was a greater need for training general population clients, and realized that he personally found it more rewarding. Over his years as a trainer, his proudest moments have come in the form of thank you cards and stories from clients, telling him about the changes that he was able to help them make – both physically and mentally.
His training philosophy has morphed and evolved since he first began training. Through activities Adam personally participated in, such as running, cycling, soccer, and rock climbing, he began to pick up nagging injuries. After researching and seeking out help, he began a regimen of corrective exercises, and changed his personal focus on improving movement quality. Adam has made an effort to apply that knowledge to his clients and help them move better along their path to getting stronger, leaner and healthier.
Everyone’s starting place and ending place are different, so Adam thinks it is important that the path they follow along the way is as individualized as possible. At the end of the day, it is all about finding what will work for you in the long term and sets you up for the greatest success.
Adam is really excited to be part of the PFP community, and loves the family type atmosphere. He is looking forward to helping the community grow and get stronger, while helping deliver the best service around.
